Levi (dpa) – Skier Petra Vlhova also won the second slalom of the weekend in Levi. The Slovakian won in Finnish Lapland ahead of Switzerland’s Michelle Gisin (+0.31 seconds) and Austria’s Katharina Liensberger (+0.50).
Vlhova, 25, won the fifth consecutive World Cup slalom victory. World and Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin, meanwhile, missed the podium in fifth place after second place when returning to racing the day before.
The German riders showed a sobering performance: After at least three DSV athletes finished in the points on Saturday, only Lena Dürr succeeded. The woman from Munich came in 21st, mainly because of a sloppy first run.
