Berlin (dpa) – Union Berlin sports director Oliver Ruhnert berated Max Kruse for his trip to a bar. The 32-year-old forward has not violated any legal obligation.
“We don’t want these actions, we think they are wrong,” Ruhnert said after Berlin’s 1: 1 at FC Schalke 04 on Sky in view of the German Football League hygiene concept. During the week Kruse posted the invitation to a Berlin bar on Instagram and on Sunday he was part of the starting lineup.
“He sat down with four people at a table and traveled within the legal framework,” Ruhnert said. “He moved like any normal citizen is allowed to move.” In the context of the Berlin Corona settlement, Kruse had “behaved correctly”.
The concept of the DFL is stricter in many ways than the Corona legal regulations of federal states. Even with a low pandemic level, he recommends “reduced contact with the neighborhood or the public” and “in the house / apartment if possible”. “He wasn’t the smartest of Max, he knows that himself,” said defender Marvin Friedrich. In the squad before Schalke’s game, it wasn’t a big deal.
